About Marcia

Marcia Goldschmidt Kratz has been singing and performing ever since her days at Neshaminy High School and University of Pennsylvania, and loving every minute of it! Marcia is a Mom herself, and has experienced first hand the responsiveness of children when immersed in an atmosphere that was music and movement oriented with everyone participating. Music makes even everyday, mundane tasks seem more friendly and fun!

Developmental psychology tells us that when the whole group is doing something that involves melody, rhythm, movement and excitement, children's bodies and minds become very active. They engage completely and learn faster. It stimulates their thinking centers on both sides of their brains and their physical coordination improves as well.

It also creates a feeling of safety, to be doing all these things: singing, dancing, making sounds and being creative, when all the other kids, AND ALL THE ADULTS are actively involved and enjoying it as well. And this feeling of creative safety is crucial to unlocking your child's potential in so many ways.

Marcia has been making music for children with Kids' MusicRound® (“KMR”) since 2000 where she is a licensed instructor, and has brought the acclaimed KMR curriculum to her own Cherry Hill center since 2004. Marcia has also delighted hundreds of families, communities and organizations with her high-energy, interactive music parties throughout NJ and PA. Her success and the strength of the many positive testimonials from parents (and kids!) all over the region are the reason she was awarded BEST OF PHILLY 2008!
